Investigator Initiated Studies (IIS)
are clinical studies proposed by healthcare professionals (HCP) and funded by Smith & Nephew. Study proposals are evaluated on the basis of their scientific merit and alignment with the Smith & Nephew research portfolio and business strategy.

Why is it important?

Smith & Nephew is committed to supporting healthcare professionals in their clinical research and scientific activities. These activities may serve to address gaps in the evidence base supporting Smith & Nephew products, and may offer significant contributions to the peer-reviewed literature.

Who can submit proposals?
All medical professionals and researchers with an interest in orthopaedics, joint reconstruction, trauma, arthroscopy/sports medicine, wound management and other related fields are welcome to submit proposals for evaluation.
